NEW DELHI: Jet Airways’ independent director Vikram Singh Mehta has resigned from crisis-ridden airline. In a statement, Jet said Mehta “has expressed his inability to continue as an independent director on board of Jet Airways due to his recent time constraints, commitments and other obligations, and has consequently resigned from his position with effect from Friday (November 9) 2018.”
Mehta started his career with IAS in 1978. He resigned from the IAS in 1980. The resignation comes days before Jet is going to announce its Q2 result on Monday (November 12).
