Minister for Human Resource Development Ganta Srinivasa Rao announced on Friday that the government is mulling giving special credit in the form of marks for students involved in field visits and society-related activities.
Speaking after inaugurating the Andhra Pradesh Science Congress (APSC 2018) at Yogi Vemana University campus here, he said that the involvement of students in field work would trigger innovative thoughts and help them find solution to the problems plaguing the society. “Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is of the firm view that providing weightage for such activities will encourage the students to work for the society in real time and hence we are actively considering such an option,” the HRD Minister said.
