Lucknow: Man held for gruesome murder and loot

LUCKNOW: Almost ten days after the gruesome murder and loot of gas-agency cashier in Vibhutikhand, the police nabbed Satyavir, whom they claimed to be hand behind the sensational loot and murder of gas-agency cashier Shyam Singh.
Gas agency-cashier Shyam Singh (45) was shot dead in broad daylight by two masked bike-borne assailants outside a bank in Vibhutikhand on October 29
However, two other aides of Singh are still on the run.
Satyavir was arrested from Faizabad police station while on another loot spree, claimed the police. Rs 1.53 lakh, country made pistol, cash-bag snatched from cashier, mobile phone were recovered from his possession by the police.
SSP Lucknow Kalanidhi Naithani said that Satyavir had done recce of the area and planned about the attack almost a month before. The idea to strike the cashier was floated by his Lucknow aide Sundar.
“He was arrested on the basis of CCTV footage and also our ground intelligence,” said Naithani.
