A retired couple have scooped up an entire town for less than most family homes and hope to turn it into a tourist attraction.
Retired couple Karyn, 58, and Peter Peeters, 60, bought Allies Creek, in Queensland, for just $550,000 after it went viral.
The charming town was originally built to house employees of a nearby timber mill and comes with 12 houses and over 14 hectares of land.

The town comes complete with 12 houses and over 14 hectares of land west of the Sunshine Coast in Queensland
The couple told The Courier Mail that they hoped to have the town up and running within two years.
They expect to spent around $2 million to create a retro tourism mecca that will attract 'grey nomads and motorcycles' .
'We’re going to have a bar and recreation area which will couple up with the church so we can have weddings, and also for the weekend people who want to come and visit,' Mr Peeters said.

There's also a large 40ft deep dam on the edge of tiny town and has a number of hydrants throughout
They said the 'calmness' of the location was a big draw card for them and Mr Peeters has already employed several tradesmen to start work on the town.
Apart from adding new facilities for laundromats, caravans, and a commercial kitchen, the couple plan to hold mosaic-making, small carpentry and timberwork.
The renovations will include a laundromat, caravan facilities and a commercial kitchen.
'We hope down the track to attract the grey nomads and the motorcyclists and we’re going to try over time to create a little bit of something nostalgic,' Mr Peeters said.
