PATIALA: Police here have arrested two persons for running a business of providing fake documents - registration copies, NOCs and other documents - to its clients. The police are still searching for the third person, who was involved with the arrested accused.
"The two arrested have been identified as Amandeep Singh alias Roki of Sidhuwal village in Patiala and Arvinder Singh Boni of Ambala. Their third partner, Pradeep Sharma of Samana, is on the run. The hunt to nab him is on," the cops said.

The police said they confiscated fake registration copies, permits and other documents from the possession of the arrested accused during a check at a barrier on Patra-Samana road.

"We have seized 80 fake registration certificates of Haryana. The accused used to get fake no objection certificates (NOCs) from Haryana and then prepare fake registration certificates (RC) in Patiala," the cops said.

As many as 132 fake permits of light transport vehicle and heavy vehicles have been confiscated. Besides, we have also seized fake stamps, including five of Patiala road transport authority," the cops added.

The cops have also seized six trucks, five canters and two pick-up vans form the possession of the accused.

"The accused used to prepare fake NOCs and other documents of vehicles and further sell them to clients. They used to make registration certificates on fake addresses," said Patiala SSP Mandeep Singh Sidhu.
