Ballot paper will remain pink: Telangana chief electoral officer
TNN | Nov 11, 2018, 01:34 ISTHYDERABAD: Telangana Chief Electoral Officer Rajat Kumar said on Friday that the ballot paper would remain pink in colour for the Telangana legislative assembly polls as per the Act. The CEO had sought clarification from the Election Commission following a complaint from Congress which said that the pink ballot paper can influence the voter to vote for TRS as the colour of the flag of the party is pink.
"The ECI said as polls are being conducted only for Telangana legislative assembly, the voter slip will be white and ballot paper(on EVM) will be pink as per the provisions of the Representation of the People's Act," Rajat said.
