Indore: Stabbed 12 times, youth succumbs to wounds

3 MURDERS  IN 48 HRS

A 19-year-old youth was stabbed to death by a group of youths following an argument in Pandharinath area on Thursday night.The victim, identified as Archit Rao, a resident of Chhatribag area of the city.  The accused had an old rivalry with Archit and attacked him in a planned manner. Police booked over 10 persons and arrested two of them on Friday.

Pandharinath police station in-charge Robert Girwal said Archit along with his friend Udit was returning home from Kadavghat when they were stopped by Sagar, Vinay, Ritik, Chintu, Nitin, Gaurav, Harsh, Deepak and others. They started arguing with Archit and Udit.

They later threatened Udit due to which he fled from the spot. After that, the accused cordoned off Archit and stabbed him a dozen times. Local residents immediately informed Archit’s family members who took him to a nearby hospital but he could not be saved due to excessive bleeding.  The police booked more than 10 accused in which eight have been identified. Accused Sagar and Vinay were also arrested by the police and they are being questioned for other accused.

Preliminary investigation revealed that Archit had an argument with the accused over some issues a few days ago. Since then the accused were planning to take revenge on Archit. However, the investigation is underway. After the incident, the family members of deceased created a ruckus at the hospital. They later reached police station and demanded immediate arrest of the accused and strict action against them.

Youth knifed to death
A youth was killed over a petty issue in Chandan Nagar area on Wednesday. Police identified the deceased as Shakir Chacha of Keshav Nagar.  It is said that one of the relatives of Shakir had an altercation with the accused and Shakir tried to pacify the accused but the accused attacked him with a knife.

According to Chandan Nagar police, Shakir was attacked by Altaf Hussein of Sirpur area on Wednesday night. He was admitted in a hospital where he died during treatment on Thursday. A case under Section 302 was registered against Altaf on the complaint of Bhaiyyu alias Raees. Bhaiyyu stated that he and his cousin Sahil were returning home on a scooter when they had an argument with two persons.

Accused Altaf also reached there and he attacked on Sahil with a stick. Later, Bhaiyyu and Sahil fled from the spot. They sought help of Shakir to pacify the accused. Shakir reached Altaf’s place where he was talking to him when the accused stabbed him twice. Shakir received grievous injuries on his abdomen. The accused could not be arrested till filing of the report.

Man killed by son
A 50-year-old man was murdered by his son following an argument over a petty issue in Simrol area. Police station in-charge RK Nain said that the incident took place in Gajinda village on November 6. Vishram Bhilala was attacked by his son Rakesh. Preliminary investigation revealed that mother of the accused reached home after grazing goats around 6 pm when the accused started arguing with her.

Vishram intervened and warned his son when the accused attacked him with a stick. He was rushed to a hospital where he died during treatment on Wednesday morning. Police raided many places in search of the accused but he could not be traced till Friday night. A police team was also sent to the jungles in search of the accused.
