Report: Trump Played Direct Role in \'Hush Money\' Payments to Stormy Daniels and Karen McDougal

President Trump was directly involved in attempting to keep porn star Stormy Daniels and former playboy model Karen McDougal quiet during his 2016 presidential bid -- this according to a brand new report by the Wall Street Journal.????The Journal cites evidence that Federal prosecutors have gathered.

It alleges that Trump worked with media executive David Pecker to use the National Enquirer in an effort to buy Daniels and McDougal’s silence.????The report stated that Pecker started a 2015 meeting with Trump by asking how he could help the Trump campaign -- that’s according to multiple sources familiar with the alleged meeting.????Pecker’s company eventually paid McDougal $150,000 for her story and then never published it.

The Journal reported that Trump asked pecker to “quash” her story.????When Trump’s former lawyer Michael Cohen pleaded guilty to bank fraud, tax fraud and campaign finance law violations, he was asked about the $130,000 payment he made to Daniels.

He said he was directed to make the payment by quote, “a candidate for federal office.” However he never mentioned Trump by name.??????It’s been previously reported that both women were paid off by people close to Trump, but the new reports suggest Trump himself was involved in nearly every step.??????It’s important to note, Trump has said he was not aware of the payment to Daniels even after Cohen pleaded guilty.??????The Hill Reports both payments could constitute a violation of Campaign finance law.
