To further enhance levels of hospitality experienced by customers within the emirate’s airports Dubai Airports and Dubai College of Tourism, part of Dubai’s Department of Tourism & Commerce Marketing will be working closely.
The agreement is a part of the government’s drive to attract 25 million visitors by 2025 and turn into the most visited city in the world.
The Dubai Airports has invested heavily to ensure that they get a warm welcome and top-flight service while passing through the Dubai International (BXB) and Dubai World Central .
Dubai College of Tourism (DCT) , a vocational education college allows students to gain both academic knowledge and career experiences.
It has an extensive range of programmes designed around industry best practices, all training tools are designed at maximising career opportunities within Dubai’s booming tourism industry.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Jamal Al Hai, Dubai Airport deputy CEO, and Essa Bin Hadher, general manager, Dubai College of Tourism, at a special ceremony held at DXB.
This is to ensure that the hospitality provided at the airports and the city are closely aligned.
Al Hai was pleased to have signed this MoU and to be working with the Dubai College of Tourism to boost the training offered to our customer-facing employees.
He said the expertise of the college and its faculty will undoubtedly align us with the vision of Dubai enabling Dubai Airports to offer an unparalleled customer experience.
Bin Hadher said that as Dubai aims to become the most visited city in the world, it was crucial for their industry to deliver exceptional visitor experiences across the board. It was important to develop a knowledgeable and well-rounded workforce that will be prepared to deal with visitors from the moment they set foot in Dubai to the moment they leave.
