Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2018: All the runway photos

Wings, glitter and Angels: that was the order of the day on the 2018 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show runway in New York City on November 8 (November 9 for us in India).

All your favourite runway regulars were there, including Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid, Bella Hadid, Georgia Fowler, Kelly Gale and Shanina Shaik, clad in pretty, slightly complicated lingerie and a number of wings. The Angels too were out in full force with Taylor Hill, Sara Sampaio, Jasmine Tookes and Romee Strijd (who wore the sought-after Shooting Star Swarovski look) flitting, stomping and almost flying down the coveted runway. Let’s not forget we also saw the return of Candice Swanepoel and Behati Prinsloo who both welcomed their second children earlier in 2018. Most significantly though, Adriana Lima took her final bow after a 19-year reign and three Fantasy Bras as the longest-serving Angel in history—an emotional moment for the model and her fans.

New kids on the block, Australians Alannah Walton, Subah Koj and Duckie Thot as well as Winnie Harlow (who made history as the first model with vitiligo to walk the VS Fashion Show), Kelsey Merritt (the first Filipino model to walk in the show), Sadie Newman and Yasmin Wijnaldum all made very Victoria’s Secret debuts in their respective lingerie looks.

It was also a big year for returning models with Barbara Palvin (whose boyfriend Dylan Sprouse was in the audience for moral support) back after a five-year hiatus and Toni Garrn making a comeback after a four-year break—both of whom made this year a triumphant one and proved they always deserve a spot in the line-up.

Of course, the runway really belonged to Angel Elsa Hosk who was the lucky model chosen this year to wear the USD$1 million Dream Angels Fantasy Bra. The blonde bombshell didn’t let us down and pranced down the runway with all the vim and vigour an Angel needs to pull off the biggest look of the night.

Other highlights included this year’s designer collaboration with British-based Mary Katrantzou, which resulted in a number of bold, bright and pretty-patterned looks roaming down the runway, all the other 2018 themes (Downtown Angels, Pink, Celestial Angels, Golden Girls, Royal Glam and Flights of Fantasy) and the musical performances from Bebe Rexha, The Chainsmokers, Halsey, Kelsea Ballerini, Rita Ora, Shawn Mendes and The Struts.
