Orange Is the New Black may be headed into its final season, but there are already plans in the works to keep the story going!

According to The Hollywood Reporter, producers are already in talks with Lionsgate Television to create a sequel series for the show, though plans at this time are not concrete. "We're really proud of the long run that Orange Is the New Black had," says Lionsgate TV Group chairman Kevin Beggs. "It remains one of Netflix's most-watched shows. We're ending on a high note. Keep in mind we own that series and will be distributing it for years to come. We're already in discussions and, when the timing is right, we'll talk further with Jenji [Kohan] about a potential sequel."

Executive producer Tara Herrmann told THR this summer that there were several offshoot ideas being discussed for Orange Is the New Black, including a Broadway production, or projects following couples Larry Bloom (Jason Biggs) and Polly Harper (Maria Dizzia) or Cal (Michael Louis Chernus) and Carol Chapman (Deborah Rush).
