Pakistan vs New Zealand 2nd ODI Highlights: After a losing streak of 12 matches against New Zealand Pakistan finally turned the tables and beat New Zeland by six wickets in the second ODI at Abu Dhabi. The 101-run partnership between Zaman and Babar Azam along with Shaheen Afridi’s four-fer helps Pakistan win the match with almost ten overs to spare. The decider will be played in Dubai.

Pakistan vs New Zealand 2nd ODI Highlights: Fast bowler Trent Boult became the third New Zealander to record a hat trick in a one-day international as the Kiwis beat Pakistan by 47 runs on Wednesday. Boult (3-54) nailed Pakistan's top order with the wickets of Fakhar Zaman, Babar Azam and Mohammad Hafeez off successive deliveries after New Zealand posted a decent 266-9. Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed (64) and Imad Wasim (50) shared a century-stand and gave their team a chance before New Zealand bowled them out for 219 in 47.2 overs to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match series. Earlier, half centuries from Ross Taylor (80) and Tom Latham (68) revived New Zealand after captain Kane Williamson won the toss and elected to bat.
ALL OVER! Mohammad Hafeez hits the winning runs and Pakistan have beaten New Zealand by 6 wickets to win the second ODI. The partnership between Zaman and Azam was the key to Pakistan's victory. The series is level at 1-1
With two runs remaining Ish Sodhi bowls a maiden to Shadab Khan. Quite an anti-climax
Shoaib Malik is out for 10 in rather unusual fashion. Pulls a Lockie Ferguson delivery straight into the left shoulder of Henry Nicholls at short leg. Ish Sodhi then takes the deflection. PAK- 177/3
Two in quick succession for New Zealand. This time it is Babar Azam who is caught for 46. Lockie Ferguson is delighted. Shoaib Malik is the next man to walk in. PAK- 156/2
At long last New Zealand finally get the breakthrough. Fakhar Zaman departs for 88. Zaman went for the big hit but a top edge is caught by Sodhi at mid-on. PAK- 155/1
Back to back boundaries for the men in green. Fakhar Zaman cracks two in two of Boult. The Kiwis are looking completely clueless as Pakistan continue to sail towards victory.
100 up for Pakistan without the loss of any wickets. Meanwhile, 50 comes up for Fakhar Zaman. 7th ODI fifty for him. He has hit six boundaries so far. PAK- 100/0
The openers have been in complete command so far. The only blip has been Imam's injury. Pakistan needs only 127 more runs to win. Fakhar Zaman and Babar Azam at the crease. PAK- 83/0, 17 ovs
Imam gets hit on the helmet grill and goes down immediatly. He confers with the physio and somehow stands but does not seem to have much of a balance. Fakhar Zaman seems to be telling his partner not to be shy of going back, Kane Williamson comes over to talk to him and Imam hobbles. The umpire has seen enough and asks the physio to take him off.
The openers survive the first 10 overs and that is always a good sign while chasing on a pitch as slow as this. Umam has made 13 off 28 while Zaman has made 29 off 32.
Imam-ul-Haq and Fakhar Zaman have give the hosts a steady start. No returns yet for Boult and Southee.

Two overs left and Taylor is on 76. Ish Sodhi is in the middle with him. Shaheen Afridi, who is pretty much a death over beast, is the man with the ball.
Hasan Ali cleaned up Henry Nicholls in the 38th over and Shadab has dismissed De Grandhomme in the 41st. Taylor is still there on 64 and he will have to take it upon himself now to take New Zealand to a good score. They are 157/6 after 41 overs.
Second consecutive ODI 50 for Taylor. He and Nicholls are doing a good job in patching up the New Zealand innings. 137/4 after 34.5
Well the first 30 overs has belonged to Pakistan but New Zealand have not been totally outplayed. Taylor and Nicholls have now built a stand of 46 which is the joint highest so far for the Kiwis in this match.
New Zealand have crossed 100 balls without a boundary. Nicholls and Taylor working their way through the spinners patiently. Shadab and Hafeez are getting a lot out of the pitch.
It has been 98 balls since the last boundary and so, it is safe to say that New Zealand have slowed down considerably after those two wickets went. They don't have a lot of batting left so the priority will be to conserve wickets.

The first powerplay is up and things have settled down for the Kiwis after a horrible start. The experience of Ross Taylor coming in handy for the Kiwis at the moment.

Hello and welcome to our Live Blog on the 2nd ODI between Pakistan and New Zealand. Pakistan were excellent in the shortest format, but as soon as they return to 50-overs format, their struggles begin again. New Zealand are not Australia - they will not give up that easy. Trent Boult's hat-trick was a pure treat to watch and the Kiwi fans will be hoping to see more of that today. An unncessary controversy of Ross Taylor has also heated up the prospect. But of course, no publicity is bad publicity, especially in gentleman's game, right?
