I love Virat Kohli’s batting and I think he is one of the best cricketers we have but I don’t agree with his comment (“Kohli’s ‘leave India’ response to cricket enthusiast creates controversy”, Nov. 8). If a person likes a foreign player for his or her performance, it does not mean that he deserves to be exiled from the country. What would Kohli say to his foreign fans abroad who love him? Should they leave their countries? Individuals cannot be compelled to only like those players who are from their country. Kohli is the captain; he should be more responsible when he makes such statements.
