This is the touching moment two boys were left overjoyed after being given a wifi router by their parents - leading one of the children to burst into tears.

In heartwarming video footage, brothers Dustin and Dash are captured sitting on the couch of their Queensland home with their eyes glued shut.

Their mother, who filmed and narrated the video, told the young pair dressed in their school uniforms they were about to be given a gift.

'Okay guys, it's going down now,' the mum said as she put a orange Telstra bag on the couch between the duo.

'Open your eyes, have a look at what it is,' she said.

The young boy grinned and jumped from the couch where he begun to thank his parents for the surprise. 

'Are you happy?' the mother asked 'I finally got it for you,' she said.

Both boys screamed and smiled with excitement when they realised they had been given wifi

He was unable to control his emotions and continued to wipe tears from his smiling face.

The children then walked towards the kitchen to see where the router had been connected.

A noise signaled that the router had been set up and Dash screamed: 'It's connected' before running out of the kitchen.

The mother followed the younger child to ask how he felt about the gift.

He screamed that the surprise was 'awesome' as he continued to jump at the camera and throw his arms in the air.

'I'm telling all my friends,' he said.

The mother, who sounds ecstatic for her children, told the pair they have the wifi for the next year.  

'Go and enjoy it, cheers,' she said.
