City, Real register thumping wins in Champions League

Manchester United scored two late goals to stun Juventus 2-1 and take an unlikely win in their Champions League game on Wednesday.

On a day where they were largely outplayed and had trailed to Cristiano Ronaldo’s goal in the 65th minute, United equalised through Juan Mata’s free-kick and then grabbed the winner through an Alex Sandro own goal.

Elsewhere, Manchester City registered a thumping 6-0 victory over Shakhtar Donetsk at home and Real Madrid scored five times in their 5-0 win over Viktoria Plzen in the Czech Republic.
