The Indian extravagance of cricket, Indian Premier League (IPL) is likely to get started from last week of March till the third week of May. Meanwhile, according to a report in Mumbai Mirror reports, the auction for the upcoming 12th season of IPL is likely to be held in Jaipur on December 17 and 18. The two-day auction came as a surprise as all the franchise have minimum players required, which they bought in a mega-auction earlier this year.
The report further states that the team owners are eager to know about the venues of the league as it is expected that the board might shift the tournament out of India fully or partially due to Lok Sabha elections. If owners come to know about venue early, it will help them to look for the players at the auction.
Meanwhile, as per latest updates, Shikhar Dhawan has moved to his home team, Delhi Daredevils in exchange of three players. South African Quinton de Kock has also moved out of Mumbai Indians while Mandeep Singh has been traded to Kings XI Punjab in exchange for Marcus Stoinis. Virender Sehwag and Venkatesh Prasad have stepped down from their posts in Kings XI Punjab and Mike Hesson has replaced Brad Hodge as head coach.
