55-year-old woman found drowned in water tank
tnn | Nov 8, 2018, 04:00 ISTRajkot: A 55-year-old woman drowned under mysterious circumstances in a water tank on terrace of her house in Marutipark Society on Satyasai Hospital Road on Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Daya Patodia. According to police, Patodia had left home on Tuesday night after having a fight with her daughter-in-law Shital.
The preliminary investigation of the police revealed that Patodia had an altercation with Shital, after which she left home in a huff. When she did not return, her son Piyush lodged a missing person complaint with taluka police station. And on Wednesday morning, her body was found drowned in the tank.
“It appears that Patodia had committed suicide. However, our investigation is still on, and we will be able to give the reason for her death, once the probe is finally done,” said an official from Rajkot taluka police station.
