Aldi stores have shrunk the font on its shelf price labels, which will make it more difficult for customers to compare deals when shopping.
The change applies to the area below the price which breaks down the price of goods by gram or millilitre and other metrics.
The supermarket giant has cut the size of the font on those labels from 5mm to 3mm and have changed it from bold to regular, making it harder for people to read.
Disgruntled consumer groups described the move as 'disappointing' and a spokesperson from The Queensland Consumers Association said the store had 'stuffed up this time'.

The supermarket giant have almost halved size of unit price labels from 5mm to 3mm
The association's spokesman Ian Jarratt said smaller unit prices will appear less legible and are harder to read, preventing customers from being informed of the best deals while shopping.
A spokeswoman from consumer group Choice had agreed the main issues were 'legibility' and the ability to 'read'.
'The consequence is shoppers don't necessarily get the best value and they end up potentially spending more,' he told The Herald Sun.
Mr Jarratt said the smaller labelling size disadvantaged shoppers with eyesight problems.

But an Aldi spokesman said the reason for the font change was to 'declutter' the labels, and to 'provide clear and clean information to our customers'.
Aldi's unit pricing labels were printed in mass in one location but each individual store will be given their own printing machine.
The new printers are now in about three quarters of the 523 stores across Australia.
