Rohit Shetty wished his Simmba actor Ranveer Singh and his Chennai Express actor Deepika Padukone on their wedding.

Filmmaker Rohit Shetty has wrapped up the shooting of Simmba, starring Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan.

Rohit took to his Instagram and wrote an emotional post. Calling Ranveer his ‘kid brother’ and Simmba, “an adventurous journey”, he ended the note with the most adorable line – “I am proud to showoff today that my Simmba is marrying my Meenamma”, wishing both Ranveer and Deepika on their upcoming wedding.

While this is Ranveer’s first film with Rohit, Deepika has worked with him in the blockbuster Chennai Express. Ranveer was left with a lot of gratitude. He later also reposted the note on his Instagram handle.

Sara Ali Khan, on her part, wrote a special note for her director and co-star reminiscing her time on the sets.

The boys of Golmaal including Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Kunal Khemu and Shreyas Talpade also shot for a special sequence in Simmba. The actors took to their social media handles and shared photos and videos from the shoot.

Simmba has been produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. It also stars Sonu Sood and Ashutosh Rana. Rohit’s close friend and actor Ajay Devgn also makes an appearance in the film, which is slated to release on December 28.
