65-year-old in Mumbai dies in fire at her flat on Grant Road

MUMBAI: A 65-year-old woman died due to fire in her third floor house at August Kranti Road in Grant Road on early Wednesday.
BMC disaster control room said that the deceased, Nargis Kanga, was alone in the house when the incident took place.
The BMC officials stated that they got a call about fire at the third floor flat of six-storey Nirmal Niwas building around at 4 am. The fire brigade managed to douse the fire after five hours of struggle. They removed the victim from the house around 9 am and rushed her to Nair Hospital.
She was declared dead before the admission at the hospital.
