China Open: Jonathan Christie stuns Prannoy in round-of-32

Ace Indian shuttler Kumar was on Wednesday stunned by of on the second day of the ongoing China Open, here at the Center.

The 26-year-old suffered a 11-21, 14-21 defeat in the Round of 32 in the men's singles match that lasted 33 minutes.

Meanwhile, in the men's doubles event, a tightly-fought encounter saw the Indian duo of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty prevailing over their Danish counterparts, Mads Conrad-Petersen and Mads Pieler Kolding, 23-21, 24-22 in Round of 32.
