Two contractors served show-cause notice
TNN | Updated: Nov 7, 2018, 08:33 ISTLUDHIANA: The civic authorities have issued a show-cause notice to two contractors after joint commissioner Kulpreet Singh had found irregularities in the management of three parking sites in the city.
The contractors have been asked to justify why they did not implement the terms and conditions of the agreement signed by them. However, mayor Balkar Sandhu claimed that the MC will terminate their contract as they did not fulfil the conditions.
The joint commissioner had conducted surprise checks at the three parking sites at Feroze Gandhi market, Bhadhaur House and Mall Road where many irregularities were came to light. These included lack of e-ticketing machines, CCTV cameras at the entrance and exit points, employees not wearing uniform. Moreover, the joint commissioner found many cases of overcharging vehicle owners at all the sites.
