Australian model Alannah Walton has been cast in this year's Victoria's Secret show at just 18 years of age.

And in an interview with Daily Mail Australia on Friday, the brunette said that she's incredibly grateful to take to the runway with more seasoned models.

'It rarely ever happens,' Alannah said, of booking the lingerie giant's annual show as her first international gig.

'I'm so grateful to have been chosen by Victoria's Secret for my first international casting... the amount of people that are about to see me on the runway,' Alannah gushed.

The IMG model, who only relocated to New York from Australia, one week before castings, went on to describe the experiencing of meeting the Victoria's Secret angels for the first time.

'When I went to the second call back, I walked in and saw all of the big names. Girls I've looked up to my whole life. It definitely made me a little more nervous because I know how hard they try, and I know the level of their careers,' Alannah said.

'However once I booked the show, I knew that deep down there was a reason for me being in the show and that I deserved it. I'm so excited to be on the level of the girls I've looked up to my whole life,' she added.

Timing: The brunette only relocated to New York from Australia one week prior to the Victoria's Secret auditions

Preparation: Alannah told Daily Mail Australia that she's working out daily for two hours and following a very clean diet of good fats, lean protein and vegetables

Alannah, who has previously walked for Australian label Bec & Bridge, has been preparing for the show with a very clean diet.

'I'm eating high fats, high protein and not much carbs. Breakfast is a lot of eggs and nuts to give me energy, lunch is a big bowl of fish and vegetables, and dinner is a chicken stir-fry.

'I've cut out any sauces and I'm not eating salt at the moment so that I'm not holding any water retention,' Alannah revealed.

'And as for exercise, I do jump rope and boxing with personal trainer Michael Olajide. He's also created workouts of sculpting the legs and abs by just using your own body weight,' she added.

Alannah will make her Victoria's Secret debut on November 8 in New York.
