Another diamond worker ends life

Picture used for representational purpose onlySURAT : A 22-year-old diamond worker ended his life after consuming poison in Varachha area of the city on Sunday. Deceased Hitesh Munjani lived with his elder brother Rajesh Munjani, a businessman. Their parents are no longer alive.
The brothers were cleaning their room when Rajesh Munjani’s supplier called him up on his mobile phone to say his goods have arrived and that he should take the delivery. Hitesh consumed poison when his brother went out to take delivery of the goods. Hitesh worked in the diamond market at Mini Bazaar.
Rajesh Munjani said, “We had no financial problems. His vacation had started from first of this month. I am really puzzled why he took such a step.” He also denied any threat or a failed love affair as the reason for his suicide. Police said they have begun investigations in the case.
