Teri staff seek chairman’s removal
TNN | Nov 6, 2018, 06:09 ISTNEW DELHI: A number of employees of The Energy and Resources Institute (Teri) have demanded removal of the chairman of its Governing Council, Ashok Chawla, on ground of a chargesheet filed against him by CBI. However, the Council, the topmost decision-making body of think-tank, has refused to sack him, saying he won’t be removed at this stage merely on the basis of a CBI chargesheet.
The CBI had in July filed a chargesheet in the Aircel-Maxis deal case against 18 people including Chawla who is also the chairman of the National Stock Exchange.
