Police have booked two moneylenders Hemant Boricha, his brother Ranjit Boricha and their two unidentified accomplices for kidnapping Chunilal Ramoliya (42) from 80-feet road. Ramoliya makes glass for the wall clocks.
According to the police, Ramoliya had taken a loan of Rs 50,000 at 10% per month interest rate from Boricha brothers for his business six months ago. In his complaint, Ramoliya stated that he had repaid Rs 80,000 with interest. However, the accused brothers were demanding Rs 55,000 more.
On Monday evening, when Ramoliya was returning home on his scooter, the Boricha brothers intercepted him on the 80-feet road and kidnapped him on his own scooter. They took him to their office, about a kilometre away, where the two other unidentified accused were already present. They thrashed Ramoliya and threatened to kill him if he did not pay the amount they were demanding.
After thrashing Ramoliya, they released him late in the night. Ramoliya approached Bhaktinagar police station soon after release and lodged FIR against Boricha brothers and his accomplices.
All four accused were booked for kidnapping, assault and issuing threats. They all are yet to be arrested.
