Live Cricket Score, India vs West Indies, 2nd T20I: Hello and welcome to our live coverage of the second T20 International match of the three-match series between India and West Indies at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee International Cricket Stadium, Lucknow, formerly known as Ekana International Cricket Stadium. The misery has seemed never-ending for the West Indies and India would look to ensure that the script doesn't change when the two sides clash in Lucknow. India's four-match T20 losing streak against the West Indies ended on Sunday in Kolkata. And in the penultimate game of what has been a disastrous tour for the visitors, India would be favourites to lock the series in their favour. India's last win against the West Indies before Sunday came way back on March 23, 2014, in the World T20 in Bangladesh. Can India demolish Windies in Lucknow's first-ever international match? Or will the visitors fight fire with fire? Stay tuned for live cricket from Lucknow. Batting heroics from the Skipper (111*) as #TeamIndia post a formidable total of 195/2 for the Windies to chase.
Stay tuned #INDvWI pic.twitter.com/p1p09sZC6V
20.37 IST: West Indies need 196 runs to win.
20.36 IST: No 200, only a single to finish. This is eased down to long off for a run. A massive last over. 20 from it and INDIA FINISH WITH 195/2!
20.36 IST: 100 for Rohit Sharma. He gets there with back-to-back boundaries. Pumps his fist and then raises his bat to acknowledge the applause by the crowd. What an innings from the opener. It is his fourth in this format and now he sits at the top of the pile with the most no. of T20I tons. He plays the paddle, connects well and hits it over short fine leg for a boundary.
20.33 IST: FOUR! EDGY! But Rohit will take it. Moves onto 96. A full toss outside off, he swings, the ball takes the outside edge and goes to the third man fence. IND 180/2 in 19.2 overs
20.26 IST: SIX! This time hammered by KL Rahul! That has gone the distance and the Windies are feeling the heat. 200 is very much possible now! Stands tall and hits it over the bowler' head. It is right off the middle so it carries all the way. IND 167/2 in 17.5 overs
20.25 IST: FOUR! Rohit's in his 90's now. 10 from the last two balls! A full toss outside off, Rohit drives it square on the off side and a boundary results. IND 158/2 in 17.3 overs
20.24 IST: SIX! Smashed once again, courtesy, Rohit Sharma. A lot of bottom hand in that shot. Rohit dances down the track, he was not to the pitch of the ball but still goes ahead with the shot and grabs maximum. IND 154/2 in 17.2 overs
20.24 IST: In the air... but safe! A low full toss and Rahul tries to paddle. The ball hits his top edge and then onto the helmet. It lobs towards short fine leg. The fielder there does nto get to it. A run taken.
20.21 IST: FOUR! Another one by Rahul. Back-to-back boundaries! Pierced the gap to perfection. Short and outside off, he created the room for himself and then cuts it through backward point for a boundary. 10 from the first four balls. IND 148/2 in 16.4 overs
20.20 IST: FOUR! Hammered by Rahul. He needs to make an impact in this match. IND 142/2 in 16.3 overs
20.16 IST: OUT! Spoke too soon! India have lost their second wicket and Pant departs for 5. Misjudged the delivery and makes a complete mess of it. His promotion up the order does not work. Not sure if this was needed, especially having got a boundary of the first ball. He tries to find the fence again with a slog sweep, does not get the desired elevation and it goes falt towards Hetmyer at deep mid-wicket who takes it. So two quick wickets for Windies and that is the only way they can contain the Indian run rate. IND 133/2 in 15.2 overs
20.14 IST: FOUR! Pant opens his account with a boundary and a lot is expected off the youngster after a terrific IPL performance. IND 133/1 in 15.1 overs
20.13 IST: Direct hit needed but missed! To add to that the batsmen run an overthrow. The slower ball, surprises Rohit. He guides it towards point. Allen there has a shy at the non-striker's end as Pant is way out of his crease. The ball misses the stumps, beats the fielder backing up but Pollard from long on does well and stops it with a dive.
20.09 IST: FOUR! Poor ball to begin his new spell. Short and outside off, Rohit has ample of time to guide it over point. Just uses the pace and a boundary results. Pressure on the bowler as a boundary is hit early in the over. IND 127/1 in 14.1 overs
20.07 IST: OUT! India lose their first wicket and it's Dhawan who walks back. Fuller ball on off, Dhawan gets low and sweeps it towards backward square. Pooran covers ground to his left, dives and then takes it with one hand. The ball sticks and Windies get their breakthrough. A good opening stand for India comes to an end. IND 123/1 in 14 overs
FIFTY 👏👏

20.04 IST: SIX! Another one by the HITMAN! Another one! Dealing in boundaries. This one is fuller on off, Rohit slogs it over mid-wicket for back-to-back sixes. IND 119/0 in 13.2 overs
20.04 IST: SIX! Smashed and Rohit is hammering away. Six on every stadium. Flatter ball on off, Rohit sweeps this over mid-wicket for a monster hit. IND 113/0 in 13.1 overs
20.00 IST: FOUR! Poor ball with third man up! It is short and outside off, easy for Rohit he cuts it through point and the ball races away. 100 up for India and they have all ten wickets in hand. IND 100/0 in 12.2 overs
20.00 IST: FIFTY! Rohit Sharma scores his 16th T20I half-century off 38 balls. Another excellent innings by the Indian opener and he is not done yet. If he stays till the end, India will surely score a big total. It is his 16th in this format. He works this through mid-wicket. Once again the power on the shot and the placement is perfect. Two taken. IND 98/0 in 12.1 overs
19.56 IST: FOUR! Rohit's on 48 now. Gorgeous shot that! Rohit dances down the track and flicks it through mid-wicket. It is in the gap and beats the dive of the fielder at long on. Ideal start to this over. IND 93/0 in 11.1 overs
19.47 IST: In the air... but on the bounce! Slower ball outside off, Dhawan hits it uppishly towards long off but well short of him. A run taken.
19.43 IST: FOUR! Pure power! Carlos digs it in short outside off, Rohit rocks back and pulls it through mid-wicket. The ball races to the boundary. The umpire signals a boundary. Nobody moved. IND 77/0 in 8.5 overs
19.42 IST: SIX! That is Massive! Rohit in the mood. Length ball down leg. Rohit waits for it and then pulls it over fine leg for half a dozen. Nicely done. IND 73/0 in 8.3 overs
19.40 IST: DROPPED AND FOUR! Keemo makes a meal of it. Short ball on middle, Dhawan pulls it high over square leg. It has more height than distance. Keemo in the deep settles it but cannot hold onto it. And to his dismay, the ball touches the ropes.
19.39 IST: Has Allen taken the catch cleanly? Allen is not sure and the umpire want it to be checked. Rohit Sharma is the man in question. Soft signal is NOT OUT.
Hitman @ImRo45 now becomes the leading run scorer in T20Is for #TeamIndia 👏👏 pic.twitter.com/6MHyYM34JP

19.38 IST: On the pads, it is flicked towards deep square leg. They run the first one hard, put pressure on the fielder. He fumbles and concedes an extra run.
19.35 IST: Nicely played! Dhawan dances down the track and punches it through covers and takes two.
19.30 IST: FIFTY up for India! Back of a length on off, it is pushed through covers for a run. 1000 T20I runs for Dhawan. He is the 6th Indian to do so.. IND 50/0 in 6 overs
19.27 IST: SIX! Smashed by the skipper! Second maximum of the innings and both have come from the blade of Rohit Sharma. Tossed up around middle, he knows the ball is not going to turn so he lifts it over the long on fence. IND 44/0 in 5.3 overs
19.24 IST: FOUR! Another one by Shikhar as he sends that to long off. This time he finds the gap! It is caressed through the off side and the ball races away to the cover boundary. IND 36/0 in 4.5 overs
19.23 IST: FOUR! Smashed by Gabbar! IND 32/0 in 4.2 overs
19.23 IST: NO BALL! Thomas has overstepped here! Second Free Hit in the innings. This is guided down to third man for a single. Once again Dhawan is on strike. Can he make use of this one?
19.22 IST: SIX! All the way! Top shot! He just had to time that and he did exactly that. Full and on the stumps, Rohit makes room and then lofts it over the bowler's head. It carries all the way. India getting a move on now. Rohit becomes India's top scorer in T20I cricket.
19.18 IST: FOUR! Up and over! Welcome into the attack. This is tossed up on off, too easy for Rohit Sharma. He lofts it over mid off for the first boundary tonight.
19.15 IST: First signs of intent against Thomas but once again it is only a single. Rohit makes room and tries to cut but gets a thick outside edge towards third man. A run taken.
19.14 IST: Not easy to get the big guy away! He bowls it on the shorter side and closer to the off pole. Dhawan goes for the cut but ends up chopping it to point.
19.12 IST: Another quick single! When boundaries are hard to come by, rotation of strike is very important. Dhawan drops this on the off side and takes a run.
19.10 IST: NO BALL! Just not acceptable in this version of the game. Keemo has overstepped and by some margin. It is bowled on a back of a length on off, Rohit pushes it towards mid off for a single. Free Hit coming up.
19.08 IST: Fuller again and on middle, Rohit tries to go over mid-wicket. The ball though goes off the inner half towards deep square leg for a run. Rohit is now off the mark.
19.06 IST: Maiden over by Thomas, kept Rohit at the end. Slightly shorter in length around off, Rohit pushes it to mid off.
19.04 IST: Oshane Thomas to Rohit Sharma, no run. Yes, a maiden to begin with! Slightly shorter in length around off, Rohit pushes it to mid off. IND 0/0 in 1 over.
19.00 IST: We are all set for the action to begin. Out come the Windies players and they are followed by the Indian openers, Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan. Oshane Thomas will start the proceedings for the visitors.
18.55 IST: Indian skipper, Rohit Sharma, says they were looking to bowl first. Adds further it is the first game here, so he is not sure how the pitch will play. Reckons there is good grass covering so it should hold up well. Mentions the dew will be there in both the innings. Informs there is one change as Kumar comes in for Yadav. Ends by saying the decision was not easy but Kumar has been their no. 1 bowler for a long time and his experience will play a part.
18.50 IST: Windies skipper, Carlos Brathwaite, says it is a new stadium and he is not sure what the wicket will do and hence wants to chase. Mentions the dew plays a big factor in his decision. Informs there is one change as Nicholas Pooran comes in for Keemo Paul.
18.45 IST: The last international cricket match Lucknow hosted was 24 years ago. The Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium becomes India's 52nd International Cricket Venue.

Brief Preview: Having failed to live up to their reputation in the shortest format, West Indies suffered a five-wicket loss to India in the first T20I of the three-match series in Kolkata on Sunday. Watching Rohit Sharma's team victory in the low-scoring T20 match at Eden Gardens, one could expect to see an identical contest when the two sides clash again in the second contest at the Ekana International Cricket stadium, Lucknow, on Tuesday.
India have won the Test series 2-0 and ODIs 3-1 in an utterly lopsided fashion. On Sunday, the current World T20I champions were restricted to a paltry 109/8 by Rohit Sharma and Company.
Windies bowlers did well to reduce India to 54/4 at the halfway stage before seasoned stumper Dinesh Karthik (31 not out; 34 b, 3x4, 1x6) and debutant Krunal Pandya (21 not out; 9b, 3x4) got the home side over the line.
India's last win against the West Indies before Sunday came was way back on March 23, 2014 in the World T20 in Bangladesh. (Read Full Match Preview)
