Mathura: Bhajan singer Vinod Agarwal passes away

AGRA: Renowned bhajan singer, Vinod Agarwal, passed away in Mathura at around 4 am on Tuesday.
He was admitted in a critical condition to a private hospital in Mathura after he complained of chest pain on Sunday, family sources informed.
The 63-year-old singer was on ventilator after some of his vital organs failed, a doctor said. His family members including his son, Jatin, and brother, Ashok, were present in the hospital when he breathed his last.
Director of the hospital Shivani Sharma earlier said that he was extremely critical and was put on life support system.
Agarwal’s body was taken to his residence in Vrindavan for people to pay their last respects before the cremation.
Vinod Agarwal was born in New Delhi in 1955. Agarwal made a name for himself as bhajan singer with his immitable style of singing. He settled down in Vrindavan because of his devotion to Lord Krishna.
He has to his credit more than 1,500 live programmes, performed across the country, and had even held shows in Singapore, Italy, Britain, Switzerland, France, Germany, Canada, Ireland and Dubai.
