RPF constable nabbed taking Rs 6,000 bribe

SURAT : Anti Corruption bureau (ACB) sleuths trapped two including a Railway Protecton Force constable Ramesh S Meena of Kosamba outpost and a private persons Ramesh Vasava accepting Rs 6,000 bribe at Ankleshwar RPF station on Monday.



The accused duo had demanded Rs 10,000 for not framing a friend of the complainant in a prohibition case case. They had taken Rs 4,000 from the complainant before.


As the complainant had approached the ACB, a trap was set to nab the accused when they came to collect the money. The middle man Vasava was sent to collect the money from a tea stall opposite Kosad Railway station. ACB official trapped Vasava and and then RPF constable Meena on Monday. tnn
