These Southern restaurants are doing it up right. Whether it's a Cajun fried turkey or pumpkin pie, there is something on these menus for everyone in your family. And remember, while eating out on Thanksgiving still isn't considered "traditional," it's popular enough that you should make your reservations as soon as you possibly can. 

Alabama
Birmingham
Should you find yourself in Birmingham for Thanksgiving, you're in luck, as there are several fantastic options for turkey day dinner. Head on over to Perry's Steak House, which will be serving its usual menu as well as a $49.95 per person prix fix selection showcasing all your favorites — turkey, ham, mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie, among others. This restaurant is massive but is somehow able to make dinner feel intimate, so if you have a big party, Perry's might be your best bet, as they have a variety of seating options. Fresh grill and wine bar Seasons 52 is also offering a delicious Thanksgiving dinner. Menu offerings start at around $27 per adult. Roast turkey, pan gravy, herb stuffing and green beans are what's for dinner. Hurry and make your reservation before they're all gone.

Atlanta
Thanksgiving in Georgia is sure to leave your heart and tummy full. Head over 5Church, where from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. guests are welcome to a delicious menu with the option to add on wine pairings. If you're looking for an alternative, head to Food 101, where you'll be welcomed with a three-course meal and sides big enough for the whole family to share. 

North Carolina

For a no-fuss dinner that your entire family will enjoy make a reservation at Dean's Kitchen + Bar, where for under $50 (per person, of course) you can feast on fried turkey, shrimp and grits, oyster stuffing, and brown sugar and basil glazed carrots. This impressive menu is paired with equally delicious wines and cocktails. Bringing the kids? There is a special menu for them as well. 

Chapel Hill 
If you're game for something a little less conventional, consider a Thanksgiving brunch at Crossroads at the Carolina Inn. While a little on the pricey side ($70 per person) it's well worth it. Lobster, pumpkin ravioli and endless mimosas? Sign me up. 

South Carolina

While roast turkey is a Thanksgiving day treat, consider adding other meats into the mix. If you're dining at Blossom restaurant in Charleston, you'll have an option of turkey and prime rib with a mushroom jus. It's also serving a famous smoked ham. 

Tennessee

Put the family in the car and head to The 404 Kitchen, where you will be served a delicious three-course meal full of Thanksgiving's greatest hits. Dessert is a particular highlight as the restaurant is baking up a pumpkin pie with candied pecans and bourbon buttercream.

Having been open for over 160 years, Tujague’s is New Orleans’ second oldest restaurant. Its Thanksgiving dinners are legendary and showcase the culinary skills it have kept it at the top of its game for decades. If you're able to snag a reservation, you'll be rewarded with a non-traditional turkey dinner featuring dishes such as roast duck breast and beef short ribs.
