Caretaker Minister for IT and Municipal Administration K. Taraka Rama Rao has promised to provide government certificates to the RMPs and PMPs, who have undergone training provided by the government as per the GO number 428, to serve the rural masses in the State.
Speaking at a meeting organised by the RMPs and PMPs of the Rajanna-Sircilla district in Sircilla textile town on Monday night, Mr. Rama Rao said that over 45,000 odd RMPs and PMPs have applied for training and 20,000 have completed the training and waiting for the certificates. “We will give certificates to all the trained RMPs and PMPs to take up medical practice and serve the rural masses”, he stated.
Stating that over two crore people live in the rural areas, he said that the government was unable to set up Primary health centre (PHC) in all the villages. Hence, the government issued the GO 428 to provide training to the RMPs and PMPs to encourage them to participate in the mission towards a healthy Telangana. Claiming that there were several qualified doctors in the State, but were confined to the urban areas, he said that it was the RMPs and PMPs who were serving the rural masses. He also appealed to the RMPs and PMPs to be cautious while discharging their duties and providing proper medicare and medicines.
Claiming that the RMPs and PMPs have played a crucial role in the Telangana Statehood movement, he said that the TRS government had instilled confidence among the people about the performance of the govt. hospitals on par with corporate hospitals. He said that the KCR kit had won accolades in the State and affected the practice of the private hospitals.
