Man rapes a woman at knifepoint while his friend holds her arms back during a random attack

  • The woman had been walking along a major road in Rockhampton, Queensland
  • At around 1am on Tuesday morning she was approached by a man with a knife
  • The man threatened her with it before his friend held back the woman's arms
  • The first man then sexually assaulted the woman, before he and his friend fled

A woman has been sexually assaulted at knifepoint by a man while his friend held her arms back, police claim. 

Police said the man threatened the woman with the knife after approaching her on East Street in Rockhampton, in Queensland, at 1am on Tuesday morning.

His friend then held her arms back - allowing the first man to sexually assault her.

The woman was taken to Rockhampton Hospital with non life-threatening injuries. 

Both men then fled the scene on foot.

One of the men was last seen wearing grey jeans and a black hooded jumper with a skull on the front. 

Police are seeking public assistance from anyone who was in the area at the time to contact them.
