This is the hilarious moment a young man is fooled by a prankster's fake glass door - made of handles and signs suspended from a metal frame.

The prank, filmed in China, began as the young man walked down a small set of stairs before stopping at the apparent door.

He then reached out for one of the handles - and was shocked to find it was hanging from a piece of near-invisible wire.

But despite his initial confusion, the prank victim took it in his stride, laughing as he batted away the two suspended door handles.

The cameraman had gone to extreme lengths to make his prank succeed - hanging not only the two handles, but also 'push' and 'pull' signs from a very convincing metal frame.

A red exit sign was also replicated and hung to the left of the frame.

The video was posted to Twitter by user Tyrantasorus, from Bangalore, who said: 'I like pranks which do not abuse or insult anyone.'

The clip has so-far been viewed more than 194,000 times, and has almost 7,000 shares.

One user, ShadeofMisery, commented: 'He still went through the fake doors. So polite.'

Another said: 'You can't necessarily say it doesn't hurt anyone. Because for the rest of his life, he may be suspicious of doorways.'

A third user, TheKarilas, said: 'Mild bemusement - the best outcome of any prank.'
