India vs West Indies 2nd T20 Highlights: Lucknow was treated to a Rohit Sharma special in its first international cricket match in over two decades. The Indian captain scored his fourth T20I century off just 58 balls and ended the innings unbeaten on 111. He now has the most tons in T20 International cricket, surpassing New Zealand’s Colin Munro. West Indies never got going in their chase. A late surge by Carlos Brathwaite and Keemo Paul helped them cross over into three figures and end the innings on a respectable total.

Rohit Sharma

It was a new pitch, so we wanted to understand how the wicket is behaving. Hence, we took so much time to understand what the pitch is doing. And we carried on from there. Whenever you get opportunity, you try and do well. Everyone will go home smiling. That's what we play for. Glad we could win the game and win the series. You know Dhawan's natural instinct is to put pressure on the bowlers, but we decided to take our time. The partnership at the top was very important.120-plus stand was crucial and KL finished off well. Bumrah has been our premier bowler for us and the way we use him in T20s is different to ODIs. Khaleel wanted the new ball and he initially looks to swing it and he has taken up the challenge well. And when he bowls that kind of a spell upfront that helps us. This is a wonderful stadium - one of the best we've played in. Just want to thank the crowd for coming out and supporting us in huge numbers.

GONE! Paul c Sharma b Kumar West Indies 114/8

Another one! Rohit Sharma just can't keep himself out of the game today. Paul hits it straight to him at mid-off.

GONE! Paul c Sharma b Kumar West Indies 114/8

Another one! Rohit Sharma just can't keep himself out of the game today. Paul hits it straight to him at mid-off.

22:13 (IST) 06 Nov 2018
West Indies 112/7 after 18 overs

West Indies do surpass Rohit Sharma's total. Two consecutive sixes by Paul and a six by Brathwaite off the last ball means that the 18th over has gone for 19 runs.

22:11 (IST) 06 Nov 2018
West Indies 93/7 off 17

In case you are wondering, they need just 103 runs to win off 18 balls. Meanwhile, Keemo Paul has reviewed a decison that went against him. It is unclear whether it was an LBW or a caught out. Turns out to be neither as the decision is overturned.

22:06 (IST) 06 Nov 2018
West Indies 88/7 off 16 overs

West Indies are 23 runs behind Rohit Sharma at the moment and it won't be a surprise if they never reach his total. This has been quite a pathetic performance from the visitors. The only time they looked to be able to provide a challenge for India was in the first three overs of the match.

21:58 (IST) 06 Nov 2018
RUN OUT! Allen run out Pandya, West Indies 81/7

Pandya rushes to his left, picks up the ball and a direct hit at the striker's end. West Indies were never in this game, were they?

21:56 (IST) 06 Nov 2018
GONE! Ramdin c Rohit b Bhuvneshwar, West Indies 81/6

Another catch at slips and another one bites the dust. India are lining up a big win here.

21:53 (IST) 06 Nov 2018
West Indies 79/5 after 13 overs

Off the eight runs scored in this over, Four came because Krunal Pandya caught everyone by surprise by bowling a bouncer!. Karthik did his best to reach it from a crouching position but runs behind to the boundary anyway.

21:46 (IST) 06 Nov 2018
West Indies 71/5 after 12 overs

Just one run off that over and an appeal for a stumping off the last ball. The required rate has now crept up above 12 for West Indies.

Just one run off that over and an appeal for a stumping off the last ball. The required rate has now crept up above 12 for West Indies.

21:42 (IST) 06 Nov 2018
GONE! Pollard c&b Bumrah, West Indies 68/5

Top edge that goes high up in the air but covers almost no distance, Bumrah comes all the way near Pollard to take the catch and the latter raised his hand just as the ball fell into his Mumbai Indians teammates' hands. Wonder what Pollard was trying to do there.

21:38 (IST) 06 Nov 2018
West Indies 67/4 after 10 overs

India were 83/0 in this period of their innings. The hosts are taking regular wickets and that is taking a toll in West Indies. Kieron Pollard and Dinesh Ramdin are in the middle, Bumrah with the ball.

21:30 (IST) 06 Nov 2018
GONE! Nicholas Pooran b Kuldeep, West Indies 52/4

Breaks back in sharply and Pooran misses it, the ball crashes on to the stumps. Safe to say now that West Indies are falling apart.

21:29 (IST) 06 Nov 2018
OUT! Darren Bravo c Rohit b Kuldeep, West Indies 52/4

What a catch! Rohit can't do anything wrong today. A fast-travelling ball and the Indian captain, standing at slips had to stretch both his hands to take that blinder.

21:17 (IST) 06 Nov 2018
GONE! Shimron Hetmyer c Dhawan b Ahmed West Indies 33/2

Rohit Sharma stick with Ahmed and gives him a third over to bowl despite the fact that he was beaten around by Hetmyer in his previous over and what a response he has got. But this is more down to poor shot selection from Hetmyer as he holes out at long on.

21:06 (IST) 06 Nov 2018
West Indies 13/1 after 3 overs

Hetmyer and Darren Bravo in the middle for the Windies. Bravo had an exceptional season in the Carribean Premier League. Can he transfer his form to Lucknow?

20:56 (IST) 06 Nov 2018
GONE! Shai Hope b Khaleel Ahmed, West Indies 7/1

Cleans him up! No pace off the pitch and Hope goes for a slog, misses the ball completely and it makes a mess of the stumps behind him. India strike early.

20:53 (IST) 06 Nov 2018
West Indies 6/0 after 1 over

All six runs came by an absolutely beautiful shot for six by Hope. He picked a length ball and crunched it straight back over the bowler's head. He nearly played on off the last ball though.

20:43 (IST) 06 Nov 2018
India 195/2 after 20 overs

Rohit Sharma unbeaten on 111 off just 61 balls. He smashed 7 sixes and 8 fours. First match in over two decades for the city of Lucknow and the Indian captain put up a show that they will remember for the next two decades if need be. Needless to say, West Indies have their work cut out.

20:38 (IST) 06 Nov 2018
4th T20I HUNDRED FOR ROHIT SHARMA

He was tied with Colin Munro until now and he has now surpassed him for most 100s in T20 Internationals. What an innings from the Indian captain, he has reached the three figure mark in just 58 balls.

20:30 (IST) 06 Nov 2018
India 169/2 after 18 overs

Another big over and Rohit Sharma is moving closer to his fourth T20I century. Kl Rahul has also got into the groove and India are absolutely cruuuuuising here.

20:24 (IST) 06 Nov 2018
India 148/2 after 17 overs

KL Rahul hits consecutive fours before taking a leading edge on to the helmet. Nothing dangerous there and ball also lands in no-man's land. This is it now, Rahul and Rohit will be looking for a big finish.

20:22 (IST) 06 Nov 2018
India 136/2 after 16 overs

Now KL Rahul joins his captain in the middle. Pant had a chance to show is credentials in India colours in the shortest format and he had failed once again.

20:17 (IST) 06 Nov 2018
OUT! Pant 5 c Hetmyer b Pierre, India 133/2

He has hit it straight to the fielder at midwicket and India lose another. Pant was evidently trying to increase the pace of scoring even more and succumbs.

20:14 (IST) 06 Nov 2018
India 129/1 after 15 overs

Rishabh Pant comes in at no.3 and gets off the mark with a single off the last ball of the over. Rohit starts that over with a slice over point for four.

20:11 (IST) 06 Nov 2018
GONE! Dhawan 43 c Pooran b Allen, India 123/1 off 14 overs

An incredible catch by Nicholas Pooran to get the first Indian wicket. He had to run to his left from the long leg boundary and put in a dive, the ball nestles precariously at the edge of his fingertips but he holds on by extending his left hand. Finally, a breakthrough for Windies.

20:03 (IST) 06 Nov 2018
India 102/0 after 12.2

An incredible shot by Rohit between point and short third man to bring up three figures for India. The Indian captain also reached his 50 off the last ball, off just 38 balls!

India 83/0 after 10 overs

Well, they took their time to get going and this has now turned out to be a brilliant first 10 overs for India. Dhawan and Rohit have survived and so the hosts have a number of wickets in the bag. Even if they didn't, they have the 50,000-strong Lucknow crowd who are really cranking up the decibel levels in the stadium.

19:47 (IST) 06 Nov 2018
India 78/0 after 9 overs

An over that will be hard to swallow for Carlos Brathwaite. Keemo Paul dropped a fairly straightforward catch off Shikhar Dhawan and the ball ended up rolling towards the  boundary. Rohit Sharma then slammed a six and a four and two runs were run in between these shots. Rohit and Dhawan are now the now have the highest runs as a pair in T20Is, surpassing Australia's Warner and Watson.

19:43 (IST) 06 Nov 2018
India 62/0 after 8 overs

There was an appeal for caught and bowled against Rohit but replays showed that the ball had pitched just in front of Fabian Allen. It would have been a great catch had it not.

India crossed the 50-run mark off the first ball of the 7th over. Rohit (2117 runs) overtakes Virat Kohli (2102) as India's highest run scorer in the shortest format while Shikhar Dhawan became the sixth India to cross 1000 runs in T20 Internationals.

India vs West Indies Live Cricket Score 2nd T20 Live Streaming: The misery has seemed never-ending for the West Indies and India would look to ensure that the script doesn't change when the two sides clash in the second Twenty20 International here on Tuesday. India's four-match T20 losing streak against the West Indies ended on Sunday in Kolkata. And in the penultimate game of what has been a disastrous tour for the visitors, India would be favourites to lock the series in their favour. India's last win against the West Indies before Sunday came way back on March 23, 2014 in the World T20 in Bangladesh. With the win at the Eden Gardens, India managed to better their head-to-head record against the reigning world T20 champions to 5-3 now from nine exchanges between 2009 and 2017.
