Hottest start to November in 13 years: Intense heatwave blasts Australia's east coast with temperatures to nudge 40 for the next three days
- Warm conditions are expected to continue on the east coast for two more days
- Temperatures in QLD will range from 30C to 40C until cold change comes
- Cold front will arrive in New South Wales on Tuesday night before moving north
The east coast of Australia is expected to battle high temperatures and humid conditions for two more days before a cold front moves in.
South-east Queensland is anticipated to feel the brunt of the heat, with temperatures nudging towards 40C on Monday and Tuesday.
According to the Bureau of Meteorology, the temperature in Ipswich, south-east Queensland, will hit 39C on Monday.
The Bureau also upgraded their heatwave forecast to 'extreme' for south-east Queensland over the next three days.

According to the Courier Mail, south-east Queensland has experienced the hottest start to November since 2005.
Senior Meteorologist at Weatherzone Jacob Cronje said conditions are expected to be 'uncomfortable' in Queensland in the coming days due to unrelenting humid conditions.
'It looks like for Brisbane itself, the CBD, we are looking at temperatures in the low to mid 30s, each day until Wednesday before cooler weather arrives from the south, that'll also impact New South Wales before that,' he told Daily Mail Australia.
Mr Cronje said it would be even hotter in places further inland, such as Archerfield, where it is expected to reach at least 35C.
'Sea breezes will keep the coast slightly cooler but high humidity will make it sweaty,' the bureau said.
Adding to the uncomfortable conditions, Mr Cronje said: 'It is an extended spell of heat and with that, evenings are unlikely to cool below 20C.'
In 2016, Brisbane had an extended heatwave with seven 30C days in a row, beginning on November 8.
'This is the earliest run in quite a long time,' Mr Cronje said.
'The humidity could make it feel more uncomfortable around the coastal areas.'

The cool change is anticipated to begin on Tuesday night, as cold weather arrives from the south, hitting New South Wales first and arriving in Queensland on Thursday.
'It's dropping temperatures right down from the mid 20s to the low 30s over the Tablelands to 16. So Orange is going to drop to 16 and its minimum temperatures early Thursday morning could be near freezing, 2C at this point,' he said.
'After quite a bit of heat we could see frost again.'
Mr Cronje said it would feel particularly cold on Thursday morning for parts of New South Wales, despite clear skies.

Melbourne is expected to have a wet start to the week with showers forecast over the next couple of days.
Temperatures in Canberra remain warm until the cold change comes through mid-week, dropping to the low 20s.
Perth will experience some sunshine during the middle of the week with pleasant temperatures lingering around the mid-20 mark.
Adelaide can expect some showers and temperatures in the low 20s.
In Darwin, heat will continue to reach over 30C and a possible shower or storm is forecast each day.
Temperatures in Hobart are forecast around the high teens and conditions are expected to be partly cloudy with a shower or two.
