RANCHI: The elder son of RJD chief and former Bihar chief minister Lalu Prasad, Tej Pratap Yadav, said on Sunday that though his father did not agree with his decision to divorce his wife Aishwarya Rai, he will continue with the proceedings.
Yadav, who filed for divorce against his wife Aishwarya at a family court in Patna on Friday, travelled to Ranchi to meet Lalu at the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences on Saturday. The meeting, which lasted for two-and-a-half hours, failed to persuade Yadav from changing his stand.
“If my father is not agreeing to my decision, then why should I listen to him?” Yadav told reporters. Yadav said he filed for divorce because of the misbehaviour meted out to him. When prodded whether his decision could affect the family and politics, Yadav said, “What should I do? Should I die bit by bit every day or hang myself ?” he retorted.
