Three arrested for snatching cellphone

HYDERABAD: Two juveniles and their associate, who were involved in snatching a mobile phone, were arrested by Nampally police.

On October 29, 19-year-old Abdul Bari was walking on the road in Bazarghat when his Vivo mobile phone was snatched by three persons. Abdul Bari lodged a police complaint. During investigation, police checked the CCTV footage and nabbed two juveniles and one Nazeer and recovered the stolen mobile phone.


In another case, a 22-year-old carpenter Mohammed Shareef was arrested by Nampally police for robbing ₹1,000 cash from autorickshaw driver Maqdoom near Nampally railway station. Few days ago, Maqdoom was waiting for passengers at the station. Shareef saw him counting the currency notes earned by him during the day. The accused asked the victim to give the money. When the victim refused, Shareef assaulted him and snatched the money.
