Two women killed in separate incidents

BIHARSHARIF: Two women were killed in separate incidents in Nalanda district on Sunday.
In the first incident, an inebriated man Pramod Manjhi, a resident of Peepaltal village under Nalanda PS area allegedly killed his mother-in-law Sodhi Devi by severing her head with an axe at Badgaon village under the same police station area.
In another incident, one Sunil Yadav of Patuana locality under Biharsharif police station area allegedly killed his wife and hanged her body from the ceiling fan, said father of the 22-year-old deceased Gudiya Devi after he failed to give a motorbike to his son in-law as dowry. Biharsharif police inspector Ashok Kumar said three persons were named in the FIR lodged by Gudiya’s father.
This was the fourth murder in Nalanda in the last seven days.
