Apple’s new iPad Pro Geekbench results reveal impressive score

Apple’s new iPad Pro Geekbench results surfaced online revealing impressive scores. The iPad Pro 2018 that features the new eight-core A12X Bionic chip has earned 5,025 in single-core score test and 18,106 points in multi-core score Geekbench test. The Geekbench results further indicate that the new iPad Pro model has either 4GB or 6GB RAM based on the configuration.

According to MacRumors, the new iPad Pro’s Geekbench results are ‘comparable’ to the performance of Apple’s latest MacBook Pro 15-inch model that features Intel’s Core i7 processor. As per the report, the latest 15-inch MacBook Pro with a 2.6GHz Intel Core i7 chip achieved 5,053 single-core scores and 21,351 in multi-core score.

Apple’s new iPad Pro made its debut at the company’s annual event this October. The tech giant at the event said that the iPad Pro 2018 ‘achieves’ up to 90 per cent better multi-core performance as compared to the previous iteration. While the new iPad Pro’s Geekbench result reveals an impressive score, MacRumors cite that the device multi-core score is 94 per cent higher than the last year’s models.

The new iPad Pro was launched in two size models- 11-inch and 12.9-inch. Both the models feature an edge-to-edge Liquid Retina display and support Face ID. The new iPad Pro 12.9-inch model comes in four storage options: 64GB, 256GB 512GB and 1TB. The 12.9-inch model price in India starts at Rs 89,900 for the 64GB option. Meanwhile, the 256GB and 512GB storage variant will come for a cost of Rs 1,03,900, and Rs 1,21,900 respectively. The 1TB storage version of the 12.9-inch iPad Pro has been priced at Rs 1,57,900.

Apple’s new iPad Pro 11-inch model price starts at Rs 71,900 for the 64GB WiFi only variant and the 256GB variant will cost Rs 85,900. Apple iPad Pro 11-inch model with 512GB and 1TGB storage version has been priced at Rs 1,03,900 and Rs 1,39,900 respectively. Apple has not shared any detail as when it plans to release the new iPad Pro in India.
