Fatal Hit and Run

Three girl scouts and one adult is dead after a hit and run in western wisconsin today.

A driver of a pickup truck lurched off a road in lake hallie, a town about 95 miles east of minneapolis.... and hit a group of girl scouts picking up trash in the ditch.

Three girls and one adult is dead and a fourth girl is critically injured.

According to the lake hallie police department.... the driver of the black ford f-150 pickup truck fled the scene but later turned himself in.

The girls were in the fourth grade at halmstad elementary school in chippewa falls.
