2 booked for misusing loan

Pune: An FIR has been registered against two persons who allegedly took a loan of Rs 15 lakh for purchasing a vehicle but used to it for other purpose. Vaishali Praveen Walimbe (51), Bank of Maharashtra’s Ambegaon Budruk branch manager, has lodged an FIR with Bharati Vidyapeeth police station.

According to the police, the incident took place between April 10 to October 30 this year. The accused have been named as Ganesh Laxman Bhoir of Junnar and Dayaram Babasaheb Gaikwad of Sinhagad Road. The accused had deposited the draft in bank account of Moto automobile, owned by them, and then withdrew the amount.

The police have charged the two accused for offence under sections 420 (cheating) and 34 (common intention) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
