A teenager has been left battered and bruised after a couple smashed his car and stole his keys in a road rage attack.
17-year-old Alex, who did not want to disclose his last name, said that a car began to tail him last Friday night after a near collision when the car had failed to give way.
The male driver attacked Alex at the intersection of Jooleen Way and Yale Road in Thornlie, south east of Perth.
'He repeatedly punched me on the face and on the head and neck,' Alex told Perth Now, who came home with a swollen face and blood all over his shirt.

'The back window was smashed so hard I thought he threw a brick, but it turns out it was just his fist,' he said, when asked about the damages done to his car.
The male driver's female companion stole Alex's keys before the pair drove away, leaving the P-plater bloodied and concussed.
Alex, who got his driver's license just five weeks ago, is now terrified to get back behind the wheel after the traumatic incident.
Alex said that every time he passes the intersection where he was attacked, he gets a 'horrible feeling' in his stomach.
'No child should have to go through that — it’s disgusting,' Alex’s mother Rebecca said, adding that she was 'mortified' that there were people out there 'with this rage in them'.
Police have been notified of the attack but Alex's family implores anyone with information to come forward and speak up.
