Return of the king: Fears of gang civil war after ousted Comanchero bikie boss retakes leadership following a stint behind bars
- Mick Murray was released from prison a fortnight ago after a small stint in jail
- Before he was jailed, Murray had a $250,000 contract placed on his life
- Murray is believed to be living in Melbourne's CBD and has 'no fear' for his safety
One of Australia's most infamous bikies is back running the Comanchero motorcycle outlaw gang after a stint behind bars.
Mick Murray was released from Barwon Prison a fortnight ago and wasted no time rejoining his Melbourne based crew.
The move has raised eyebrows in the criminal underworld given that when Murray was jailed there was a $250,000 bounty on his head.

According to the Herald Sun, Murray had threats to his life resulting from a split within the Comanchero between members.
A number of long standing members were frustrated at the perceived direction Murray had taken the club.
Murray, formerly the Comancheros' national president, was jailed in March after refusing to co-operate with Victoria's organised crime-busting agency.
Supreme Court Justice Peter Riordan jailed Murray for contempt, after reviewing his extensive criminal history.
He also noted Murray was a poor candidate for potential rehabilitation.
In January, Murray reportedly received an anonymous letter calling him an informer before threats were then directed at his family.
Murray, who was living in Eureka Tower before he was jailed, is not been afraid to be seen in public.
Daily Mail Australia understands he is residing in a Melbourne CBD high-rise apartment after re-assuming the leadership.
Before he was jailed, the security and gym mogul, separated from his wife Debbie Pittman after she became tired of his repeated infidelities.
His financial status was also crippled when he was ordered to pay the Australian Tax Office $4million.
