Apple Memojis that lets users create their very own Animoji, based on their characteristics, was launched earlier this year with iOS 12. Ahead of Diwali, Apple has shared Memojis of popular musicians in India including Anushka Manchanda, Ram Sampat, Sona Mohapatra and more wishing Diwali via this feature. Other musicians include Ankur Tewari, Nikhita Gandhi, Salim and Sulaiman Merchant, Kavya Trehan.

Apple’s Memoji takes advantage of iPhone X’s depth-sensing, front camera to capture user’s facial movements and use them to animate one of the emojis on iOS. Memoji can be used on Apple iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR as well.

In addition, Apple Music has introduced exclusive for the launch week music by Shubha Mudgal, Nucleya, Monica Dogra and Kush Upadhyay. For instance, project “Bridge of Dreams” includes Shubha Mudgal’s voice and composition, Aneesh Pradhan’s tabla, composition as well as Sandy Evans’ saxophones, composition, orchestration. Sirens Big Band, Bobby Singh play tabla, while Sudhir Nayak played harmonium in the project.

Monica Dogra’s 6-song EP, Seeing Red, focuses on blending and amalgamating different styles of bass and trap. Kush Upadhyay’s “Soon You’ll See The Old” will also be available. The album is produced by Kush and Warren Mendonsa, who is a guitarist and producer of Blackstratblues fame. The release has five tracks. Nucleya will release eight singles across eight weeks, respectively, tieing up to his new and upcoming album ‘Tota Myna’.
