Haryana: 22-year-old woman raped in Panipat

Representative imageCHANDIGARH: Panipat police on Saturday booked a resident of Matlauda village for allegedly raping a 22-year-old woman, who had come from Shamli for the shopping of blankets for Diwali.
A case has been registered at women police station on the complaint by the survivor.
In her complaint, she said that on Friday she had come from Shamli to buy some blankets. He met one Pawan Kumar of Matlauda who took her to a hotel on GT Road where he raped her.
Before she could react on Friday night, the accused had fled.
SHO of women police station Kiran told media that facts of the case are being verified and the police parties are rushed to round up the accused.
