And Sam Frost was nothing if not down to earth as she left Melbourne's Flemington racecourse after Derby Day.

While most VIPs have been using helicopters to get around, the 29-year-old was seen waiting in a line for an Uber.

The queue stretched around the marquee and into the car park, continuing right down the grass bank in the blistering sun.

Despite the discomfort, Sam kept a low profile and waited patiently with all manner of other guests at the event.

Uber had a separate queue for those celebrities using helicopters.

Special guest Sofia Richie, who along with boyfriend Scott Disick was said to be picking up a six-figure paycheck to attend Derby Day, took a red helicopter.

The soap star wore head-to-toe black, opting for a satin and lace pantsuit with a round-rimmed hat and veil from Morgan + Taylor, and competed the look with an envelope clutch from Olga Berg.
