Man arrested with fake currency notes

Ludhiana: The police have arrested a man with 40 fake currency notes of Rs500, and with his set-up of printing the notes inside his car. The accused nabbed by police is a habitual offender, and has been booked in nearly 10 cases. The arrested accused is Dharam Pal (45) from Barewal Awana village. The police have arrested the accused from Division 7, while his accomplice managed to escape.

Additional deputy commissioner of police (ADCP-4) Rajveer Singh Boparai said police had arrested Dharam and seized his car following a tip-off. The accused had made the entire set-up in his car, including a laptop, printer, scanner, and ink to print fake currency notes. Boparai added that the police had also recovered 10 pages with fake currency notes of Rs500. Each page had four fake currency notes on it. The fake notes also have a series, and it is tough to identify it to be a fake. The police are questioning the accused for further investigation.
