The ‘Clean Colombia’ National Campaign has reached more than 115 tourist destinations, in which approximately 225 tons of garbage has been collected and about 190,000 people sensitized about the responsibility and commitment to the efficient management of natural and cultural resources in tourist destinations.

Awareness-raising activities were held for the local community and tourists, using phrases referring to the care of the environment, accompanied by an invitation to deposit solid waste properly.

The Mayor’s Office of Inírida, the Governorate of Guainía, the Ombudsman’s Office, the Municipal Cleaning Company, the Association of the Regional Indigenous Council of Guainía (Asocrigua) and local schools participated, among others.

The municipality of Inírida is surrounded by the rivers Guaviare, Atabapo and Inírida, where tourists can practice adventure sports, and activities to get close to nature, including hiking, cave exploration etc.
