2.0 trailer: Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar are ready to battle it out.
The highly-awaited trailer of 2.0 was launched at a grand event in Chennai. The entire cast and crew of the mega budget movie were in attendance at Sathyam cinemas, where the trailer was screened in 3D format. In a first, an additional speaker was fitted under every seat in the cinema hall to provide an immersive sound experience for the audience.
The two-minute long trailer is packed with interesting, never-seen-before visuals in Indian cinema. Each shot in the trailer is filled with a lot of energy, creativity and originality.

The trailer opens with cell phones flying off the shelves and taking different forms threatening people (read slaves of modern gadgets). Akshay Kumar plays a supervillain that seems to believe that hitting the reset button is the only option to save the world from all the madness created by man. Thanks to Dr. Vaseegaran (Rajinikanth), we have a super robot at disposal to take the challenge from Akshay’s supervillain head-on. The fully-reloaded 2.0 version of Chitti is brought back into operation to contain a giant bird that spits fire. He also tackles an all-powerful, supernatural villain who wreaks havoc in Chennai city.
While we don’t get to see much of Akshay or Amy Jackson’s character, we get some insight into Chitti. He is still a cheerful and mischievous humanoid with extraordinary cognitive abilities. His heart still skips a beat looking at a beautiful girl. It’s unclear whether Amy plays a female humanoid or she’s just a girl in the suit. But, she has got Chitti’s attention.

After nearly three years in the making, 2.0 is now all set to hit the screens on November 29. “Mark my words, this film will be a super- duper hit,” said a confident Rajinikanth at the trailer launch event.
