OnePlus 6 gets Nightscape mode, Studio lighting with the latest OxygenOS 9.0.2 update

OnePlus has released OxygenOS 9.0.2 update for the OnePlus 6. The latest update brings Nightscape mode and Studio Lighting that were introduced on OnePlus’s new flagship, OnePlus 6T. Besides these features, the update also brings new navigation gestures and Android Security patch for November.

OnePlus announced about the latest update for OnePlus 6 in its official OnePlus forum. As per the changelog the OxygenOS 9.0.2 update brings optimised battery standby power consumption, improved UI for ‘About phone’ and general bug fixes. The improved navigation gestures that debuted on OnePlus 6T has arrived in the OnePlus 6.

OnePlus has added support to launch Google Assistant by holding the power button for 0.5 seconds. As mentioned, the latest OxygenOS 9.0.2 update brings new features to OnePlus 6 camera software that include Nightscape mode and Studio lighting. The Studio lighting feature is meant to enhance the ‘face contour.’

OnePlus in its forum mentioned that the OxygenOS 9.0.2 update for OnePlus 6 has been rolled out in a phased manner which means it will take time to reach the mass. OnePlus 6 users can check for the update manually on their phone by heading to Settings>System updates.
